Spring Broken Neck is a spin-off of the guys-only trip that takes place in the fall.  Both events are by invitation only!  However, unlike Broken Neck, this campout includes spouses, significant others and kids.

It takes place at Camp James campground in Kernville.  The campground is on the Kern River, and only about a mile from town.

In 2015 our event will run from April 16th through April 19th.  (Thursday through Sunday) 

If you wish to attend, you already know who to talk to in order to get an invitation.

For the first time, registraiton is required.  Please go the the "Registraton Information" page for the details.  In brief, it will cost you $25.00 per person plus camping fees.  The $25.00 covers dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Snacks and other meals are up to you.

So, what goes on up there?  Lots:

• Fishing is usually good.  If you don't have your license yet, there is a sporting goods store about a mile from the camp that sells them.
  
• Rafting is usually very good at this time of year and lots of fun.  You can sign up for rafting when you get there.  Check back on this site as we get closer for updates.  As of March 27th, rafting was good from the powerhouse to the bridge.  That is the same run that we took last year.  We will plan on doing it again on Saturday, 3/18.
• Hiking and photographic exploration is another highlight.
• Then there is the fun of just sitting around the campsite bullshitting.
